Frequently Asked Questions

Does Microblading hurt?

Microblading may feel a bit weird, like a mild scratching sensation, but you will be numbed twice, once before the process and the second time during the microblading for optimal comfort. You should not be in excruciating pain during or after the process.

How long until my Microblading/Machine Brows heal?

Microblading and eyebrow permanent makeup goes through a few different phases as it heals. First, it will appear a little too dark or bold for comfort. Hang in there, the next few days will start to flake and peel, please DO NOT pick the skin, it may pull out the pigment! You will probably feel itchy, apply necessary ointment as needed. Finally, around day 6-8 your brows will be fresh and much lighter than the first 2 days. Your new brows are fully developed at about 5 weeks. Please follow all instructions on the after care cards given at time of appointment for optimal results to enjoy your permanent makeup longterm.

Do Machine Brow Tattoos hurt?

Machine brows are more comfortable than microblading. You will be numbed once during this process. You may simply feel vibrations and some people may fall asleep! If you’re extremely uncomfortable, please let us know so we can help you feel better as soon as possible.

Can I get Botox before/after Eyebrow Permanent Makeup (microblading/machine)?

You can get Botox at least 2 weeks in advance of any brow permanent makeup and wait at least 6 weeks after your brow services to get Botox.

Does Velvet Lips/Lip Blush hurt?

Lips are a very sensitive part of the body. You will be numbed once during the process, but be prepared to feel some sort of discomfort if you have a low pain tolerance. We try to make this procedure as comfortable as possible by using optimal needle configuration and proper machine speed. Please prepare your lips prior to your appointment, by hydrating them with a lip balm for 2-3 days throughout the day, as dry chapped lips will not hold pigment well and may have excess bleeding. **Very important to note, if you are prone to cold sores, you will need an antiviral prescription from your primary care doctor also to take at least 3 days before your appointment.

How soon can I have lip fillers before/after my Velvet Lips appointment?

You can get lip fillers up to 3 weeks prior to your Velvet Lips appointment. Please wait at least 6 weeks after your Velvet Lips appointment to get any lip injections/fillers.

What is a Paramedical Tattoo?

A paramedical tattoo is basically a tattoo that works with medical conditions such as camouflaging scars, vitiligo, scalp micropigmentation, areola restoration, stretchmarks, etc. You and your technician together will go over different skin tones and techniques to achieve what’s best for you.

What should I wear to my Inkless Stretchmark or Areola Restoration appointment?

It depends on the area, but for either of these services it’s best to wear loose fitting and soft cotton clothing. Your treatment site may be irritating after the service for a few hours at least, so clothes that won’t rub on the area are best.

Is there any after-care for my treatments such as Velvet Lips, Machine Brows and Microneedling?

After each service, you will be given print-outs of the After-Care necessary for each treatment, please read them thoroughly and follow through as best as you can. If you have further questions or if anything seems unclear, please Contact Us.
